eBay’s search is built for shipping. Collection stock is scattered through it.
eBay can filter for local pickup and a distance, but what comes back is a list sorted like any other search: shipped items mixed in by default, the distance as a number in small print, and no way to tell at a glance which side of town a listing is on.

Say what and where
Enter a keyword and your ZIP code in the form above. Both are required: the map needs a point to anchor on and something to look for, and without either you’d get an empty page instead of pins.
Set the radius
Left alone, the radius is 100 miles. Ten keeps it to a lunchtime errand; 250 covers a region. Start tight and widen only when the tight search comes back empty — the map stays open while you change it.
Read the map
Pins show every pickup listing in range with its price. Click one for photos and details, then open it on eBay to message the seller. Pan somewhere else and search that area if the first town comes up short.
Arrange collection
Confirm the item is still available, agree a time and a payment method, and pay through eBay checkout rather than in cash, so the order stays on the platform where buyer protection applies.
