This guide walks you through two key tools for controlling seller visibility in your searches:
- Block List: Permanently exclude sellers across all searches
- Targeted Seller Searches: Include Sellers or Exclude Sellers for specific keyword setups
Whether you’re looking to block unwanted sellers or build highly targeted sourcing setups, these tools allow for flexible, powerful control over your results.
Global Block Sellers #
Block Sellers with the Block List
The Block List removes sellers across all of your keyword searches, it’s the preferred method for most users.
Use this to completely hide seller listings from appearing in any search.
Quick Add
Right-click a listing in the results view > ignore seller
- Right-click a listing in the results view
- Select “Ignore Seller” → Instantly adds the seller to your Block List.
Bulk Add/Edit
- Navigate to Grid > Blocked Sellers from the top menu
- In the editor:
- Paste/type seller usernames (one per line)
- Click Sort to organize alphabetically (optional)
- Click Save to confirm

Copy/Paste or type in sellers to block, sort alphabetically.

When finished Editing, click SAVE
Exclude Specific Sellers #
When to use: When you want to exclude up to 10 sellers from a specific search, but not block them globally.
How to access:
- Go to the Home > Keyword (eBay Searches) panel > Seller Type.
- Set Seller Type = Exclude
- Enter seller names separated by commas (Example: “seller1,seller2,seller3”)

Include Specific Sellers #
How to access:
- Follow the above steps as “Search for Everything from a Specific Seller” above
- Use a more Specific Seller to target exactly what you’re looking for
Example: If you want to find iPhone cases from seller “techstore123”, set:
- Seller Type = Include
- Sellers = techstore123

Note: Make sure all other search settings (category, condition, etc.) are appropriate for what you’re seeking.
Why use this instead of the Global Block List? This method is more efficient for your system resources. The exclusion happens at the search level, whereas global blocking requires your system to find all items, including those sellers, and then remove them. It’s best to use this keyword-level exclusion for the top 10 sellers that post the most items.
Exclude via Filter Rules #
When to use: When you need to exclude more than 10 sellers or want more advanced filtering options.
How to access:
- Use the advanced filter rules section
- Create filter rules targeting seller names
Benefits:
- No limit on the number of sellers you can exclude
- More granular control over filtering conditions
- Can be combined with other filter criteria
Note: Filter rules can also be used to highlight specific sellers you want to identify in your results, giving you multiple ways to customize your search experience.
